Blogging Success Through Failure

September 12th, 2010 - by Robby Slaughter

Local ghostblogger Rhoda Israelov recently finished reading Failure: The Secret to Success. Her take home lesson: try more failure in your blogging!

Over at the Gravy Masters blog, Israelov advises:

Your blog post demonstrates you understand the problems the online searcher is dealing with.  In other words, your success in finding unique solutions probably came through failure. Perhaps you personally went through the same failure stages.  You know how frustrating it was, and your devotion to your business grows out of that experience.

This is a great suggestion for bloggers. Instead of writing about what you do, try authoring a piece about what not to do. Tell the story of what you or others may have tried to do in the past that failed. After all, novices may be searching for this term and will find your post. They will read it and discover that you’re human and may want to buy your products and services.

You knew it! Failure is the secret to success—in blogging and practically everywhere!

Thanks, Rhoda!
