Instead of being in the great outdoors with his friends, Scorsese spent hours and hours with the silver screen. If it wasn’t for asthma, would we have such classics as Goodfellas, Raging Bull, or Gangs of New York? Would the man himself have countless awards and nominations to his name? No one can say for certain, but it is clear that failure is the secret to success. What might seem like a childhood tragedy served an important role in creating a Hollywood legend.

Learn more about the people who failed first in order to success. Check out Failure: The Secret to Success today!
