Dr. Rodney Willoughby Takes On Death

November 12th, 2013 - by Alyssa Shea

Dr. Rodney Willoughby faced death and somehow, beat it back, to the great relief of his patient Jeanna Giese.

Jeanna Giese presented in the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin with troubling symptoms. The symptoms initially began almost flu-like, but started to turn worse, puzzling doctors. Her parents took her for numerous tests, trying to find out what could possibly make the daughter go from a healthy, happy and energetic girl to knocking on death’s door. Give a listen to the podcast below of this harrowing tale.

Willoughby didn’t let the prospect of the failure of this disease stop him. He stopped at nothing to save this young girl’s life, even though rabies usually has a one hundred percent fatality rate. He turned the possibility of a failure into success.
