Turning Failures In Your Career Into Success »

Be Proud Of Your Failures

May 23rd, 2015 - by Alyssa Shea

Several years ago, Cassandra Phillips created FailCon. This conference had one purpose: To celebrate failing

After years of reading success stories by start-up founders, Phillips found herself feeling quite intimidated. As an entrepreneur herself, she wanted to hear about all of those whose didn’t find success. So, every October for the next 4 years, numerous tech start-up failures gathered to talk about their biggest mistakes and what they learned from them.

Phillips found herself with a unique opportunity, though. She was able to begin licensing the FailCon event for a $1500 fee. Producers in other countries jumped at the opportunity to host their own. Having gained quite a bit of knowledge from her time spent examining failures, Phillips was able to land a job she desired, and plans on rebooting FailCon. She used failure to create success!
