Mike Birbiglia has found a lot of success in his stand up comedy. In his film, Don’t Think Twice he portrays a 36-year-old founder of an improv troupe. The theme of the movie? Failure.
Orlando Weekly published an article centering on the famous comedian and his step onto the big screen with such a curious theme. So why would someone who has known so much success decide to focus on a decidedly unfunny thing such as failure? Birbiglia explained in an interview:
“I think we all think in terms of success as this one thing. And in my 20s, I thought that that was the case, like I wanted to write for Conan or SNL or The Daily Show. And then at a certain point, you realize that no, that’s success for someone, but it might not be for me. It might not be my path.”
Everyone has their own definitions of Success and failure!
