Mistake Or Genius Marketing?

January 16th, 2018 - by Alyssa Shea

Black Friday is the day every year that people can find great deals at most stores. Many companies use this time of year to ramp up marketing.

Those of us that partake in Black Friday are pretty brave to face the masses of people swarming around stores. Christmas shopping to-do lists are checked off and you can breathe a sigh of relief that you’ve nailed your presents this year. One company sent an email out to their subscribers which was, according to them, a total accident.

Brooklinen’s digital marketing intern by the name of Mark sent out the accidental email where he asks his team to make sure his links are working and directing to the correct pages. Except this email went out to hundreds of people! Now, some people wonder if this was just a strategy to get people clicking on their links that direct you to live sales pages. Regardless, Brooklinen figured out how to use what could have been a failure to successfully market their product!
