Reddit User Found Success Through Failure

January 30th, 2018 - by Alyssa Shea

Many online communities bring people together to share thoughts and ideas. Reddit recently gave us a truly inspiring story!

There was a thread titled “Reddit, what’s your top “Holy sh*t, that worked?” moment?” and it received over 38,000 upvotes with thousands of comments. Many outlandish stories and bellylaughs ensued. Someone by the username ‘aeriat’ responded with a great story about how they landed a job.

“I work on costumes in theatre in NYC. About 2 years ago I was sitting in the front row of a show, and a button popped off one of the costumes. The next day I took it back to the stage door with my resume and a little note that said “This came off one of the costumes yesterday, and I thought you might want it back. And while I have your attention, here is my resume”.

And that is the story of how I got my first job on a Broadway show.”

What a smart decision! They used a failure to find their success!
