The Author

Robby Slaughter might seem like a perfectly capable guy, but the truth is he’s made tons of mistakes. In fact, he continues to screw up on a daily basis, and shows no signs of stopping. Should Congress decide to award a Medal of Failure, Robby expects to be first in line.

He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied oodles of different subjects before finally settling on a degree in mathematics. Robby also spent nearly ten years in the technology industry and worked for Microsoft as well as a variety of dot-com companies. This experience helped him decide this was something he did not want to do.

Robby now runs a productivity consulting firm devoted to helping stakeholders recognize that part of working smarter is embracing dumb decisions. He lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife Kathy and their border terrier puppy dog.

Failure: The Secret to Success is his first book.
